To show a token on your home screen, tap **+** next to **Crypto** on the **Wallet** tab, choose the network, select the token and tap **Confirm**. Add a custom token or network only when FxWallet doesn't list it, and take its details only from an official source: a fake token or network can show you balances that aren't real.

## Add a custom token

1. On **Add Crypto**, scroll to the bottom and tap **Add custom token**.
2. Choose the token's network, enter its contract address and the other details, then tap **Save**.

> **Warning**
>
> Copy the contract address from the project's official website or a block explorer, never from a chat, an ad or an airdrop. Scam tokens copy the names and logos of real ones. See [Fake token and offline trading scams](https://docs.fxwallet.com/security-and-scams/fake-tokens-and-offline-trading-scams).

## Add a custom network

You can add EVM networks only, and only networks that FxWallet doesn't have yet.

> **Warning**
>
> Add a network only when you need it, with details you found yourself in the network's official documentation. FxWallet reads the network through its RPC URL: the provider of an RPC URL sees your addresses and the transactions you send, and a fake one can show you balances and transactions that aren't real. Being told to add a network, by a stranger, a "support agent" or a website, is a common scam. See [Fake balances on a custom network](https://docs.fxwallet.com/security-and-scams/fake-tokens-and-offline-trading-scams#fake-balances-on-a-custom-network).

Go to **Me** → **Network** → **Custom networks** → **Add Network** → **Customize**, enter the network's chain ID, name, RPC URL and currency symbol, and its block explorer if it has one, then tap **Confirm**.

- If FxWallet says **Chain already exists**, it already has that network: choose it from the network list instead.
- A network's name and symbol can be anything. A custom network called "Ethereum" isn't Ethereum: the real one is built in.

Custom tokens and networks are saved on your phone, so add them again after you reinstall FxWallet or restore your wallet on a new phone.

## If FxWallet can't reach a network

FxWallet reads each network through a server called an RPC node. When the node doesn't answer, FxWallet shows "Network response error on … Please try again later or switch to a different RPC." Balances and history on that network may not load until it answers. Switching the node doesn't move your assets.

1. Tap **Switch RPC** in the message, or go to **Me** → **Network** and tap the network.
2. Tap **RPC URL**. The list shows how fast each node answers.
3. Choose a faster node.

> **Warning**
>
> Add a node with **Add Custom RPC URL** only from the network's official documentation. The node's provider sees your addresses and the transactions you send, and a fake node can show you balances and transactions that aren't real.

## Edit or remove a custom network

Go to **Me** → **Network** → **Custom networks** and tap the network. On **Edit Network**, you can change its name, symbol, block explorer and RPC URLs, but not its chain ID. To remove it, tap the trash icon at the top, then confirm. Removing a network doesn't affect your wallet or your assets on other networks.
