> Move tokens to another network with Bridge on the Swap tab. It's slower than a swap, some routes need you to finish them, and failed bridges are refunded.

A swap only exchanges tokens on one network. To move tokens to another network, open the **Swap** tab and switch to **Bridge**, choose the token and the two networks, enter the amount you pay, then confirm. A bridge takes longer than a swap, because it waits for both networks and for the bridge in between.

## Before you confirm

- FxWallet picks the route that gives you the most after all fees.
- The fees include the bridge's own fee and the network fees, shown under **Fees & Gas**.
- You enter the amount you pay. The amount you receive is an estimate until the bridge completes.

## Finish routes that need you

Some routes take several steps, each after a waiting time: you prove the transfer, then claim the tokens, both on the network you're bridging to. When a bridge needs you, the **Bridge** screen shows **Action Needed**: open it and follow the steps.

> **Warning**
>
> The tokens don't arrive until you finish every step. Each step is a transaction on the network you're bridging to, so keep some of that network's native coin there to pay its network fee. Don't leave a bridge marked **Action Needed**.

## Follow a bridge

The **Bridge** screen has **Bridge History**, where you can open each bridge and see its steps. A bridge that can't complete shows as failed. If the bridge service refunded it, its page shows the amount returned to your wallet under **Automatically Return**, and the fees kept under **Fees Deducted**.

If a failed bridge shows no refund, or a bridge takes much longer than usual, look up its transaction hash (TXID) in a block explorer for each network. If the bridge still doesn't arrive, [contact support](https://docs.fxwallet.com/contact-and-legal/contact-support) with the transaction hashes.

If FxWallet says a route or the bridge service is unavailable, try again later.

## If you used another bridge

FxWallet can't see or act on a bridge you used outside FxWallet, such as a bridge website in **Discover**: your funds are with that bridge until it completes.

- Look up the transaction hash (TXID) in a block explorer for each network, and follow the transfer in the bridge's own tracker on its official website. Some bridges need you to claim the tokens on the other network yourself.
- Contact that bridge only through its official website. Anyone who messages you offering to help, or asks for your mnemonic phrase, is a scammer.
- Next time, open a bridge only from its official website, and send a small amount first.
