The **Earn** tab lists yield products and staking for supported assets and networks. When you deposit, your crypto goes into an on-chain protocol, and neither the return nor your deposit is guaranteed.

## Is the APY guaranteed?

No. APY is an annual rate estimated from current conditions, and it changes with the market, demand and the protocol's activity, including after you deposit. What you actually earn depends on how the APY moves, how much you deposit and for how long, the network fees, and how the product works.

## Can I lose my deposit?

Yes. Earn products carry smart contract, protocol, liquidity and market risks, and FxWallet doesn't guarantee your principal or any return. Each product shows a **Risk level**, from **Low risk** to **High risk**. Even at **Low risk**, part or all of your deposit can be lost if the protocol is hacked or runs out of liquidity.

## Can I withdraw at any time?

It depends on the product, so check its **Redemption** rules before you deposit. With **Flexible** products you can ask to redeem at any time, but the funds arrive when the network and the protocol's liquidity allow. Other products take a set number of days to redeem or unstake. For staking, see [Stake and unstake with Earn](https://docs.fxwallet.com/earn/staking).

## What does "external DApps" mean?

Some protocols take deposits only in their own DApp, which FxWallet doesn't run. When you pick one, FxWallet shows **Continue in DApp**, and **Open DApp** takes you to the protocol's DApp. Check the website, the asset, the network and every transaction before you confirm anything there, and see [Token approvals](https://docs.fxwallet.com/wallet/token-approvals).

## Do I pay fees?

Deposits, redemptions and claims are blockchain transactions, so each pays a network fee in the network's native coin, such as ETH on Ethereum. Earn doesn't let you pay these fees with a Gas Card or a token, so keep some of the native coin on the product's network. See [Gas fees and Gas Card](https://docs.fxwallet.com/wallet/gas-fees).

## Why are my earnings lower than I expected?

**Total Earned** counts deposit earnings only for positions you created in FxWallet, while staking earnings include all the staking rewards in your wallet. The APY may also have changed since you deposited.

## Why is the APY a range?

A **Stable Yield** product can be offered by several protocols on several networks, and the range runs from the lowest of their APYs to the highest. You earn the APY of the protocol you choose, so compare its **Risk level**, network and liquidity too, not just the APY.

## My deposit failed. What now?

Check the transaction's status and your balance. If Earn stopped the deposit or says your balance is too low, see [Why can't I deposit or redeem in Earn?](https://docs.fxwallet.com/earn/deposit-and-redeem-problems). If the crypto left your wallet but your Earn balance didn't change, [contact support](https://docs.fxwallet.com/contact-and-legal/contact-support) with the transaction hash (TXID).
